Sunshine at the AWS Summit, London
An afternoon of learning at London’s Excel today. Having spent a couple of years working closely with Microsoft on their strategic partnership with LSEG, it was good to refresh my knowledge on AWS as one of the other large cloud service provider ecosystems. A few highlights…
Of relevance to current projects was Amazon’s Nova Sonic speech-to-speech call automation. Coming from the AWS Gen AI Innovation Centre, some of the features are still in beta, but for organisations migrating to Amazon Connect for their contact centre services it promises to enhance the customer experience and increase agent productivity.
Some useful insights from the FT on their use of Amazon’s Redshift to develop a modern data strategy. Illuminating to hear what lies beneath those fearlessly pink pages!
And finally, it was great to catch-up with Ben Saunders and the team from We Build-AI who were exhibiting here for the first time. Plenty of interest around their stand from people who want to unlock value through AI-Driven Transformation.
Finally thought… it’s easy to forget how ENORMOUS the Excel is, but what an amazing venue to host such a large and vibrant community of engineers.
